Abramovich favours WC winner after speaking with 20 potential Conte replacements

Blanc is reportedly the preferred choice of the Blues to replace beleaguered coach Antonio Conte.
The Ex French international has emerged the key choice after Abramovich interviewed over 20 candidates for the job.  Negotiations have reached an advanced point with only a few modalities remaining for a deal to be confirmed.
However, this has not ended the club’s pursuit for ex Napoli boss Sarri, with Chelsea still hopeful of reaching an agreement with Napoli. Blanc comes with an impressive pedigree having won multiple titles in France.
The Frenchman is expected to name Franck Passi as his assistant and will bring some personal backroom staff along. He has also agreed to work under specific conditions and is expected to revive the fortunes of the club after an underwhelming campaign.

Antonio Conte is currently locked down in a contract payoff dispute with the London club. The payoff for sacking the Italian is around £9 million but the blues want to renegotiate the terms.

This has not stopped Chelsea Chief Marina Granovskaia from planning ahead for the new season with a new coach high on the agenda, as well as new contracts for star men Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard.  Blanc has been without a job since being sacked by PSG three years ago.
