Manchester United 'to battle Man City for Kylian Mbappe'

A round up of the latest Man Utd transfer rumours as the club are linked with a mega money move for PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

Manchester United will go head to head with rivals Manchester City to land France start Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.

The 19-year-old finalised a permanent move to Paris Saint Germain this summer having spent the past season on loan at the club.

However, financial fair play rulies mean they could be forced in to selling the France international and a number of clubs are monitoring the situation.
The Mirror report United have registered interest with Mbappe's advisers should the French side decide to sell.

However, they would likely face competition from City as Pep Guardiola would like to take the 19-year-old to the Etihad.

The report adds United would be willing to sacrifice Anthony Martial in part exchange for Mbappe. A deal between the two clubs would likely cost United around £86m with Martial valued around £80m.

In other news, United are said to be interested in Real Mallorca defender Joan Sastre.

The 21-year-old is reportedly on the radar of Real Madrid and Barcelona after he was integral for Mallorca in their title winning season which saw them promoted back to the second tier.
And Sport report Mourinho is also interested in the right-back.

The report adds that should United land Sastre they would be looking to bring him in to the U23s initially rather than the first team.

It seems unlikely given United have already announced the signing of right back Diogo Dalot this summer, that the club would be interested in signing another player in the same position when Mourinho wants to strengthen elsewhere.
