Belgium Lay Down Marker as Lukaku, Hazard and Batshuayi Inspire Them to Win

Belgium laid down a marker as Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi inspired them to a 5-2 win over Tunisia.

Roberto Martinez’s men went into the game with three points already after beating Panama 2-0 in their opening group match.

And they now sit pretty on six after smashing Tunisia 5-2 this afternoon – sending out a message to group rivals England and the rest of the World Cup.

They got the win thanks to a quality team performance, but they standout performers in the form of Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi, while Kevin de Bruyne was his usual creative self in midfield for the Red Devils.

Hazard opened the scoring from the spot before Lukaku added two ahead of half-time take Belgium into half-time 3-1 up.

Then Hazard added his own second before Batshuayi climbed off the bench to add their fifth and secure a 5-2 victory.

Actually, Batshuayi could have had more than his one goal, missing a couple of chances as Belgium ran over the top of the Tunisians.

It’s a big victory for Belgium and puts one foot in the last 16 for them – and it’ll have made for interesting viewing for England, who play them on Thursday in their final group game.
