“I want to play for Arsenal not Man United” – £35m ace confirms transfer

Jose Mourinho is also in the market of defensive signings as he looks to strengthen the core of his side defence this summer that will be capable of challenging Manchester City and other Premier League club for the title next season.

In light of this, the Portuguese boss has also been linked with a move for Turkish international Soyuncu who has been linked with a move to Arsenal earlier this summer.

The defender’s agent, Mustafa Dogru, claims the Gunners head of signing Sven Mislintat is a huge fan of the Turkish international and all that’s left is for his fee to be agreed with Freiburg.
The representative is quoted by the Daily Express as saying below:
“Sven Mislintat has been keen on Caglar since he was at Borussia Dortmund. He first scouted him back in Germany. Sven is interested in Caglar.
“There are concrete talks, all that remains is for a fee to be agreed. We will see what happens next.”
The defender has now confirmed that he will be joining Arsenal as he wants to play in the Premier League but admitted that decision will come down to the German club as he still has three year left on his current contract with the Bundesliga club.

Turkish newspaper Gunes, quotes the player saying:
“I hope I go to Arsenal. I really want to play in the Premier League, but everything depends on the team.
“I go to Arsenal. I want to play there, but everything is connected. Because I have a contract for 3 more years.”
