Announcement imminent, $105,000-a-week star agree Man United deal

Announcement imminent, $105,000-a-week star agree Man United deal

Belgium international Marouane Fellaini is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a contract extension deal with Man United, per reports.

Fellaini threw the media into confusion when he revealed earlier this week that he has agreed to sign a deal but will make known the club at the expiration of his contract (1st July). While fans and pundits are left in the dark over his future, it appears that he will be staying put with the Red Devils.

He will run down his current contract with Man United by Saturday midnight and he had stalled over signing a new deal with the club since last summer through the winter transfer window. Mourinho revealed that he wants to retain the services of the player but said he would sign another player in his stead if he leave.

United have to look no further for reinforcements as the 30-year-old star has been offered a lucrative two-year deal, which he’s expected to sign, per the Sun.  He is current on a $105,000-a-week deal with United but he will rack up more funds with the new deal.

Fellaini who is currently with the Belgium national team for the World Cup mundial was offered for sale by his agent and he was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, Galatasaray and AC Milan.
United have already signed on Fred as replacement for Carrick who has taken a role in the back room of the club and now Jose Mourinho will be looking to strengthen the other aspects of his squad.
