Willian to Man Utd: Jose Mourinho increasingly confident of completing Chelsea transfer
WILLIAN could be set to leave Chelsea for
Manchester United this summer, with Jose Mourinho increasingly confident
of securing a deal.
That’s after Willian was not a guaranteed starter at Stamford Bridge last season even with Chelsea finishing fifth in the Premier League.
The Manchester Evening News claim Mourinho believes he will sign the 29-year-old a year after missing out on him.
Chelsea were thought to be reluctant to sell again to their rivals after letting Nemanja Matic leave for Old Trafford last summer.
But with Roman Abramovich keen to reduce spending he could let Willian leave to free up transfer funds.
But the Brazil international was left on the bench for the FA Cup final against Manchester United by Antonio Conte.
The reports claim Abramovich is willing to make just £50-60m available for transfers at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea are said to want around £50m for the Brazilian this summer with United keen to improve their midfield options.
The Red Devils have been busy in the transfer market and announced the arrival of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk yesterday
United will look to overhaul Manchester City next season after they were trounced by Pep Guardiola’s side in the Premier League last time out.
