Jose Mourinho reveals why Alexis Sanchez has been struggling at Man United

Former Arsenal man now turned United player Alexis Sanchez has had many thinking whether United made the right move to make a swap deal for him, from Arsenal and letting the Premier League rivals have Henrikh Mkhitaryan on their end.

Sanchez made a last hour switch to Old Trafford after United agreed to give Arsenal Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but the club record signing has so far underperformed since arriving in January.

Despite his glaring struggles to hit the pedals and start netting goals for the club, Mourinho has risen to the defence of the Chilean star.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Portuguese tactician has blamed his dull display up front to fatigue and a cramped up schedule.
He believes their £400k-a-week signing will patch up his weaknesses and deliver next term. That we will know for sure when the pre-season begins after the World Cup in Russia.

Meanwhile, United have revealed they have plans for youngster Anthony Martial by placing a £75 million valuation on him, a move meant to discourage suitors and tie him down at Old Trafford.

Martial’s agent claimed that the Frenchman was ready to quit playing for the biggest club in the world after a lot of considerations about his future at the club.

Chelsea and Tottenham are believed to have registered their interests in the star.
