Philipp Max is keen on a move to Manchester United from Augsburg this summer, say reports
Philipp Max is keen on a move to Manchester United from Augsburg this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.
Italian outlet CalcioInsider, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the defender is keen on a move to Old Trafford this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad.
Manchester United have already begun their summer recruitment drive by snapping up deals for both Fred and Diogo Dalot last week.
And it is now being claimed that 24-year-old left-back Max is now also keen on a move to Old Trafford.
A source close to the defender reportedly told CalcioInsider: “He is keen to move up in the career, he loves the Premier League and is ready to join Manchester United – his favourite club.
“Philipp is the best (left-back in Germany) and at his peak now, Augsburg would want around €40m.”
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of other signings this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season.
The Red Devils ended up in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last season.
Indeed, Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
