Sergej Milinkovic Savic the Serbian box to box midfielder who
is right up in Jose’s summer wishlisht has now dropped a huge social
hint on following Fred to the Theatre of Dreams.
The 23 year old who currently plies his trade in the Italian league
for Lazio has generated a lot of interest from the top clubs in Europe
like Juventus, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and now
Manchester United are quite clearly leading the race to sign him because
of the 6ft 4 Serbian’s wish to play alongside Nemanja Matic who is
also Serbian.
Sergej Milinkovic Savic is exactly the player that united
need since Jose Mourinho likes to play a 4-2-3-1 with 2 deep lying
midfielders. With Pogba not able to play the role of DM successfully and
wanting to have more attacking freedom Jose has often called upon Ander
Herrera to play that role but the Spaniard has been quite inconsistent
upto this point and most likely seems to be on his way out.
Which is why its quite easy to understand why Jose wants a
consistent and established player who can play as a box to box
midfielder, who can not only put in crunching tackles but is also good
on the ball.
Sergej Milinkovic Savic has been in excellent form this season
having played 46 games this season scoring 14 goals and providing 8
assists in all competitions this season and has a who scored rating of 7.35. He has been a hugely dominant presence in midfield for Lazio taking them to the quarter finals of the Europa League.
Matic moved to United last summer from Chelsea for 40 million euros
and his compatriot Sergej Milinkovic Savic sees the 29 year old as a
role model, giving United the advantage in the transfer race. With both
of them playing together for the national team, their partnership would
provide United with the ultimate chemistry in midfield.
Jose Mourinho has stated in the past weeks that he is looking to
add more midfielders and add more balance to the side and all roads are
leading to Savic.

sent Manchester United fans into a meltdown by ‘Liking’ a post on
Instagram reporting Fred’s arrival. Signs of wanting a future
partnership maybe ??
His outspoken agent Mateja Kezman had also previously claimed that Sergej
Milinkovic Savic could develop into the most complete player in the
world while also believing that Savic is easily worth 100 million euros
in todays market.
For my part I believe Sergej Milinkovic Savic is exactly the player Manchester United
require right now since signing Savic would mean Pogba would play in
his preferred free role and provide United with more attacking options
going forward.
It would also provide United stability in midfield alongside the
new arrival Fred which will help the defence and provide De Gea with the
support he needs.
Going forward United with this team quite frankly seems unstoppable
with Sanchez on the left, Lingard on the right, Lukaku in the middle
and Pogba behind him as a roaming midfielder.
United have severely lacked the presence of a dynamic box to box
player like Sergej Milinkovic Savic who is consistent with his play and a
reliable option in providing defensive stability as well as going
forward.
For the mean time Lazio have a major say in deciding if and where
he goes since his contract does not have a release clause. His agent has
labelled him as a 100 million player and United have already reportedly
made a bid in a similiar price range for the player which will make him
the club record signing if the deal does indeed go though.
With Regards to his quality Sergej Milinkovic Savic is certainly
worth the asking price with the Neymar transfer disrupting the whole
transfer market anything seems less these days.
Segej Milinkovic Savic certainly seems like the perfect fit for
