£140,000-a-week deal rejected, as midfield “desperately” wants to compete Man Utd transfer
Last week we reported Arsenal were eyeing a move for Manchester United unsettled midfielder Marouane Fellaini but the news went cold when reports claimed the Arsenal management doesn’t see the former Everton man playing the style of the club’s football.
The Belgium internationin is poised to drop into the free agent pool after seeing no extension to his current terms agreed at Old Trafford.
Various landing spots have been mooted for the versatile 30-year-old, but it could be that the former Everton could sign for Arsenal to remain in England
It is believed Arsenal’s new boss Unai Emery is interested in working with Fellaini as he is keen on adding some physical presence at the midfield.
The Telegraph are now reporting that “Arsenal are aware of Fellaini’s availability but he is not currently a priority”.
The Belgium international is understood to have turned down a £140,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford and is believed to be looking for a new challenge.
Fellaini joined Old Trafford back in 2013, following manager David Moyes to Manchester from Everton in a £27.5m deal
