Man United ready to break the bank to sign world-class no.11

Man United ready to break the bank to sign world-class no.11
Manchester United will prioritise signing Gareth Bale this summer. United are in the market for big-name recruits as they look to build a squad capable of going toe-to-toe with Manchester City next season. Bale has been linked with returns to the Premier League over the past few years.
United chief Ed Woodward made Bale a target as soon as he took up his senior post at the club. While Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer of the winger and discussed the possibility of signing him last year.
United are apparently keeping close tabs on developments regarding Bale, who revealed he will hold talks with Real and his agent, Jonathan Barnett. Real are expected to demand more than £100m for Bale, which would make him their most expensive signing ever.
But that will not matter to Mourinho, who sees the Welshman as the ideal solution to the problematic right wing berth. Woodward’s peers at boardroom level would probably be won over by the commercial value signing Bale would have for United.
he Welshman struggled for a regular game time at the Bernabeu last season but scored twice as Real beat Liverpool in the Champions League final two weeks ago. Following the game, Bale dropped a huge hint about his future, suggesting that he deserved first-team football and could seek a move this summer.
