Official: Manchester United confirm one more deal

We take a quick swipe at the latest news coming from Manchester United women team.Manchester United have appointed former Liverpool and England captain Casey Stoney as the manager of the women’s team, reports BBC.

Stoney started her playing career with Chelsea when she was only 12 – over the course of her career, shes toured Charlton Atletic, Arsenal, Liverpool and Lincoln. She’s won 130 international caps, and won 12 major trophies before calling time on her playing career.

She was named as assistant to former Man United star Phil Neville in February when she decided to hang her boots but she will now spearhead an imminent revolution in Man United women football as they have been given license to join the Championship following their 13-year-old absence from the scene.
Confirming the report, Stoney revealed that she intends build a philosophy for Man United that will attract young female footballers to the club.

“I am delighted to have joined Manchester United. This the biggest club in the world,” she said. “The fact that we are going to have a women’s team and I’m going to be able to introduce that from scratch, to build a team, build a philosophy, with the biggest club in the world, means that, for me, there is no more exciting opportunity.

“My ultimate aim is to grow this team so that every little girl growing up dreams of playing for Manchester United when she’s older, because they’re the most successful team in women’s football.”
This appointment as sanctioned by Ed Woodward proves that United are willing to take women football by storm.
