Manchester United told to pay £62 million for versatile winger – not Bale

Manchester United told to pay £62 million for versatile winger – not Bale

Reports from Italy claim Florentina are open to offers for the 20 year-old but want a sensational offer to release the youngster.

Fiorentina have told potential suitors to pay a staggering £62 million for the services of winger Federico Chiesa. Manchester United would have to stump out the fee to winkle out the winger from Italy.
Chiesa had an impressive debut season playing in 37 games contributing 6 goals and 5 assists for the Florence-based club. This has led to interest from European bigwigs with Bayern Munich, Juventus and Liverpool keeping tabs on the 20-year-old winger. However, it is suggested that United are the front-runners in the race to acquire the young winger services.

Mourinho is apparently searching for an attacker with Antoine Griezmann and former Benfica striker Anderson Talisca linked to the United in the past few weeks.

It is difficult to see Chiesa breaking into the first eleven with stiff competition in the attacking positions. However, he could be a capable backup and long-term replacement for star player Alexis Sanchez. Although, United spending so much for a young untested player defies belief, but it would be interesting to see how this transfer would unfold in the following weeks.
