Adrien Rabiot rejects PSG contract

The midfielder has just rejected his club’s third definitive contract offer, which stood at €7.2m/year, or €138k/week, plus bonuses, according to extremely reliably PSG news outlet Paris United.

They claim that Rabiot’s relationship with sporting director Antero Henrique is approaching untenable.

Last month, ESPN reported that Liverpool had made contact with Rabiot and his representatives about a future transfer, with the 24-year-old midfielder available to freely approach come January 1 2019.

From that point onwards, Liverpool, or any other non-French club, can sign Rabiot for free on a Bosman, or a reduced transfer fee during the winter.

The playmaker is extremely hard-working, but also possesses a panache and guile that our midfield arguably lacks.

We’d probably compare him stylistically to Adam Lallana at the midfielder’s best in 2016/17, but our Englishman is crocked and simply cannot get himself on the field at the moment.

Rabiot on a Bosman is an absolute no-brainer, of course. We hope there’s some truth in the suggestions and that Jurgen Klopp can work his magic in terms of convincing the player of our project.
