Chelsea set to Offer David Luiz new bumper deal

Chelsea are set to offer star player a new deal the defender has been in a fine form this season and has formed a formidable partnership with Antonio Rudiger as Chelsea’s main center-back. Luiz has played every minute of the Premier League so far and the London-based club has decided to reward him with a contract extension.

The Brazilian’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season. But according to the reports the Blues are planning to offer a one-year deal to Luiz.
Johnson suggested that Chelsea will offer David Luiz a deal to not lose him for free in the next summer transfer window. But the Brazilian’s recent form is also being taken into account. Despite his good form, Luiz’s age will be a factor in deciding the length of a new contract. With the Brazilian now turn 31-year old, the new contract is unlikely to be for a longer period because of Chelsea policy.

David Luiz has perform very well for the Blues this season. The Blues were in the market in search for Gary Cahill’s replacement with Andreas Christensen still not fit the bills. But Luiz has stepped up for Sarri and has hardly put a foot wrong so far.


Chelsea recently broke Liverpool’s perfect start of Premier League season with a 1-1 draw at the Stamford Bridge. The Blues will now face Hungarian club Vidi FC in Europa League on Thursday night.
