Arsenal on the verge of sealing deal for first Winter signing

Arsenal already have a deal in place for Paraguay midfield maestro Miguel Almiron and the deal will be completed in January, this is according to reports.
Reports emerged last week that the 24-year-old star would not extend his stay at MLS side Atlanta United and it was claimed Arsenal have an agreement in place to sign him.
Miguel Almiron moved to Atlanta United from Lanus in 2016 and he has seen his stock only increase since then. This term, he has found the back of the net 12 times and he has been tipped to come good as a world class footballer.
Darren Eales, who is United’s president revealed that the player would move away from the club at the end of the season, and several top European clubs have been monitoring his situation.
However, it is claimed that Arsenal are frontrunners for the player’s signature, with a £15m agreement already in place for his move.
“My objective has always been to go to Europe,” he said. “I like the Premier League and I think they play a beautiful and competitive style of soccer.” Almiron said when quizzed about the possibility of a move.
Unai Emery is not short of options in the midfield but the uncertainty over Aaron Ramsey’s future may have forced the club into the market for a playmaker.

The Gunners are also linked with a move for Ever Banega.
