Arsenal to welcome £15 million signing Almiron in January

Fresh reports have claimed Arsenal are set to sign striker Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United for £15 million in the January window.
Despite having Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette already at the club, there has been some serious speculation that Danny Welbeck will follow Aaron Ramsey out the door at the end of the season after failing to agree a new contract, meaning Unai Emery will need another forward to fill the void of the Englishman.
And they have targeted Atlanta star Almiron, who has been impressing a number of European clubs after scoing 12 goals in 32 appearances for MLS side this season.

Last week, the president of Atlanta United Derren Eales confirmed Almiron would join an English side when the transfer window re-opens in the winter, stating: ‘Almiron’s future is already decided and he will go to England in the European winter market.’
And after the Paraguay international previously admitted it would be a dream to join a Premier League club, the Daily Mirror website has claimed Arsenal will complete a £15 million transfer deal when the winter window opens up in just a few months time, as Emery continues to rebuild his side.
Atlanta’s manager Tata Martino believes Almiron’s move to the Premier League will change the perception of the MLS in England.

‘The moment when Miguel Almiron leaves and goes to your country (England) then I think there will be a different view of MLS,’ he said.
