Lucas Torreira was introduced in the Manchester City game on the 70-minute mark and only had 20 minutes to try and impact the game. By that point, though, it was 2-0 to the champions and Unai Emery’s side were running out of legs. This weekend promises to be different and Emery will likely throw in his new midfield maestro from the start, which a lot of fans will be delighted to see as they await his full debut.@LTorreira34 pic.twitter.com/HjkLQ2JSn0— Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) 15 August 2018
If Torreira does start it’s very likely that it will be at the expense of Granit Xhaka, which most fans will be delighted with. The Uruguayan midfielder impressed last season in the Serie A and over the summer at the World Cup and if he can find that form whilst playing for Emery then the Gunners will have a serious player on their hands. The 22-year-old has the ability to dictate play and his physicality and passing range will be crucial to anything that goes well for The Gunners at Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners can’t wait to see Torreira against Chelsea and will be keen to see how he does in his full 90 minutes, especially seeing as it’s a London derby.
