Real Madrid to sign 180M as Ronaldo replacement

CRISTIANO RONALDO LEFT REAL MADRID AFTER 9 GLORIOUS YEARS AND THE DEFENDING UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS HAVE BEEN IN THE MARKET IN SEARCH OF A PERTINENT REPLACEMENT.

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez, who has widely been criticized by many for selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, is confident that the La Liga giants can sign Chelsea and Belgian attacker Eden Hazard before the transfer window closes at the end of this month. The Los Blancos have been in the market for top-class forward since Cristiano, a player who helped them achieve unprecedented glory in Europe, left for Juventus in one of the shocking transfers of this summer.

Reports suggested the Los Blancos had targetted players like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr, Mo Salah, Harry Kane, but no deal materialized. However, Perez remains confident on signing Eden Hazard, who has impressed everyone with his performance for Chelsea in the recent seasons and for Belgium in the FIFA World Cup, where they lost to France in the semifinal, 1-0. Hazard has played in both of Chelsea’s English Premier League games this season, coming on as a substitute, though.

Meanwhile, Sarri is also confident Hazard would stay at Chelsea this summer. Despite the Los Blancos offering £180m, Chelsea will not be appreciating any approaches for Eden Hazard, as they would have to wait until January to find a replacement for Hazard. Following their shocking defeat to Atletico in the UEFA Super Cup, the Santiago Bernabeu side is seriously looking for players to fill the void left by Ronaldo.

Real Madrid will face Girona in their next La Liga game this season. While Ramos and Co will be looking to register another comfortable victory, Girona will be expecting to upset the La Liga giants like they did last year. However, Julen Lopetegui does have time until the end of this month to sort out the problem.

Cristiano Ronaldo has left a huge void to fill at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Los Blancos have not yet been able to find apt players to fill the big boots of Ronaldo. Asensio, who plays on the left flank, struggled to deliver the expected result against Atletico Madrid. Even though he did impress against Getafe, there is no guarantee he would do the same while playing against tougher oppositions like Atletico Madrid.
