Despite only signing for Roma last summer, Pellegrini has been heavily tipped to leave the Italian in the next 12 months with a whole host of top European sides reportedly interested in a transfer deal.
United reportedly made contact with Roma during the summer transfer window in a bid to add the Italian to their squad, as Jose Mourinho was desperate to add to the signings of Fred, Lee Grant and Diogo Dalot.
Chelsea also registered their interest in Pellegrini to as Maurizio Sarri was looking for possible replacements for Willian, with reports the Brazilian was ready to pack his bags and head over to Manchester to link-up with former boss Mourinho.
However, Roma were reluctant to let Pellegrini leave and the player admitted he was more than happy to stay put.
But Italian website Calciomercato have claimed that interest in Pellegrini is once again rising with Inter Milan and Juventus joining United and Chelsea in the chase for the 21-year old.
Reports have claimed the young Italian has a €30 million release clause in his contract with Roma, with all four clubs willing to activate it in the January transfer window.
