Done! Liverpool complete transfer of versatile midfielder

Liverpool’s Serbian attacking midfielder, Marko Grujic has joined German side Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan.

Grujic joined the Bundesliga side after agreeing to extend his contract at his parent club until 2023.
Grujic, 22, joined the Merseyside club in 2016 and has gone to make 14 senior appearances for the first team.
However, due to a more experience midfield combination, he was unable to fully feature for the first team as much as he would had loved. So to continue his development, he was sent on loan to Cardiff City last season.

At Cardiff, he played regularly, his development and maturity was there for everyone to see after helping them gain promotion to the Premiership.

On account of his performances for the former championship club, he was listed in his country’s national team for the World Cup in Russia where he had a wonderful outing.

Prior to his joining Hertha Berlin, other clubs came seeking his services which he turned down outright.

He is a hugely talented attacking midfielder. It is on this account that Klopp had to ensure he extended his stay before moving to new shores.

We wish him well as he grows to become a better player.
