Barcelona name Paul Pogba in three man list of midfield targets for 2019

Barcelona are looking to inject more fresh blood into their ageing midfield and they have made Paul Pogba one of their three major target for next summer.

Pogba has been considering his future this season since he fell out with Jose Mourinho and he has even had his agent ask the club to sell him to Barcelona before the English transfer window was shut.
Manchester United told the Catalans that Pogba was not for sale at any price, but they have decided not to quit trying.

While Barca have accepted the fact that they cannot land the former Juventus ace this summer, they have added him to their list of target for next season as they look to replace their ageing midfield.
Pogba, Adrien Rabiot, and Ajax’s Frenkie de Jong are the club’s three major targets to lead their team from the centre of the park next season.

Rabiot is out of contract next summer, and he looks most likely to seek a new challenge elsewhere. Barcelona are seriously considering making a move for him, but he doesn’t have the commercial pull that Pogba has.

De Jong is still very young and although he would be a better long term alternative, Ernersto Valverde would prefer an experienced Pogba.
