£180,000-a-week star “not prepared” to leave Liverpool in immediate future

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has dropped another transfer hint he is not ready to leave Reds after become besotted by life on Merseyside.
The Brazilian star signed a new long-term contract extension last April, keeping him with Liverpool until 2023.

Firmino has played an essential role in Liverpool’s emergence as the chief competition to Premier League giants Manchester City’s dominance of English football.
Since signing from the German club Hoffenheim in 2015 Firmino has netted 50 goals in 145 matches in all competitions to cement himself as a vital part of Jurgen Klopp’s first team.

His stunning form led to speculation regarding a possible switch to Barcelona, in spite of having recently committed his future to the club.

But having fallen in love with the Reds during his three years at the club the 26-year-old star seemingly has no plans to depart in the immediate future.

‘Everyone hears stories about what it means to be a Liverpool player, but, until you live it personally, you cannot really understand it,’ he told The Mirror.

‘In my whole life, I never thought that I would get treated like I do here. ‘It’s a huge responsibility and we can only give everything back to the supporters that we can.”
