Liverpool £50,000-a-week star refusing to sign new bumper deal

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson is reportedly in no rush to sign a new deal with the club, despite speculation that he could be in line for a pay rise.
The full-back has established himself as the first-choice left-back at Anfield, having enjoyed an exciting debut campaign to help the Reds to a top-four finish and the Champions League final last term.

Reports have claimed that the 24-year-old could be in line for a bumper new contract to reward his form, but the Liverpool ECHO is reporting that no talks are planned between the club and the player.
Andrew Robertson still has four years left on the initial contract he signed last year, and that deal is heavily incentivised already, reducing the need for fresh terms.

The report adds that Liverpool could consider a new contract next summer, but will not undergo talks with the Scotland international at any stage of this campaign.

Andrew Robertson is also understood to be happy with that arrangement to focus solely on his football. It is more likely that the Scot will stay at Anfield for a long-time as he has been developing his game starting from the last season.
