While the fans of Chelsea are grinning from ear to ear over the latest success in the transfer window, they are set for a deadline day surprise after emerging report claim the London club are weighing in on a deal for Uruguay and Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino.
Vecino joined Inter Milan from Fiorentina only last summer but he has proved himself beyond doubt in the Seria A that he is a top-notch footballer.
Even though the Blues have a plethora of otherwise strong midfielders in their squad, Sky sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has made a claim that the Blues are sealing a deal for the South-American midfielder.
“There’s talk of Matias Vecino from Inter Milan. That one won’t go away at the moment.
“That could be dependant on various things, for example Tiemoue Bakayoko’s future as well. There’s talk of him with AC Milan interested in him.
“Would Sarri go in for Vecino? he knows him very well. “He had him at Empoli so potentially [he will sign].
The countdown to the close of the window has begun, it is left to be seeing if Chelsea will pull one more string.
