Personal terms agreed: Man United to seal deadline day deal for £60m sturdy CB

Toby Alderweireld has agreed personal terms to join Manchester United, this is according to latest report.

Mourinho has bemoaned the lack of transfer activities at the club after the signing of Fred and Diogo Dalot and he has set his sight on the signing a rock solid centre-back.

The Red Devils have been lately linked with a move for Yery Mina of Barcelona, Harry Maguire of Leicester City, Jerome Boateng of Bayern Munich but Alderweireld appear to tickle the fancy of Mourinho more than any of his targets.

Alderweireld has reportedly stalled over signing a new deal with Tottenham and even though they could trigger the extension of his contract by a year, they are likely to let him go next season.

Nonetheless, the Express Sport claim Mourinho has been able to convince the star and there is now personal terms agreement with the player to seal a move to the fortress of Old Trafford and the deal could be completed today.

United ended last season with the second best defensive record and part of their undoing was their inability to create and score goals. Mourinho should be looking to add creativity to his squad and probably a back up striker for Lukaku as he has tons of defenders.

Alderweireld is valued at £60m by Tottenham.
