European giants turned down Arsenal offer for their £72,000-a-week star

The Premier League giants Arsenal have seen their official approach for AC Milan technically gifted defender Ricardo Rodriguez turned down.
According to the British national daily tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror, AC Milan have turned down Arsenal’s offer for Rodriguez, as management look to keep hold of the club’s first choice left-back.

The report states that Rodriguez was not even able to speak to the Gunners about a potential move to North London, with Milan not willing to let him depart from the San Siro.
Arsenal are planning to land a left-back before Thursday’s 5pm deadline after an injury to Spain international Nacho Monreal.

Rodriguez joined the Italian giants AC Milan from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg the previous summer for a deal in the region of €17 million.

There is no mention of the sum that the London-based outfit have offered for the Swiss international. The 25-year-old star made 47 appearances for Rossoneri last season, scoring four goals from the defence.

He also made 185 appearances in six seasons at Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and has been capped 57 times by his country at international level.
