‘No defence for that’ Legend Scholes opens up and rips into Man United star Paul Pogba

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has hit out at Paul Pogba for the comments he made after Brighton shocked Jose Mourinho’s side.

After an impressive start to the new season, Mourinho’s men were meant to rock up at Brighton and pick up another three points that would keep them close to Manchester City, especially after seeing their rivals win 6-1 on Sunday.

However, that was not the case and the Red Devils were beaten 3-2 by Brighton, with a number of United players once again under-performing for Mourinho.

And one of those players was Paul Pogba, who admitted his attitude was not good enough and that Brighton were hungrier than United.

He was quoted on the Metro: ‘My attitude was not right. It has to be a big lesson for us. They had more hunger than us.

‘I put myself first, that my attitude wasn’t right enough. We made mistakes we shouldn’t make.’
But legend Scholes, who won pretty much won everything he possibly could as a United player, was shocked by Pogba’s admission and said there was ‘no defence’ for the captain’s comments.
‘I hope that is lost in translation,’ he said.
‘There is no defence for that comment, there is no defence for it.
‘You say it to yourself, don’t you? You’re constantly saying to yourself: “Attitude right, make sure it’s right.” ‘You don’t need other people to tell you. You don’t need a manager to tell you that or your team-mates.’re is what we think.

Pogba looks like a man that is ready to pack his bags and leave the club for pastures new, as he simply cannot get on with Mourinho, leading to criticism off the field as well as on it.

He doesn’t look happy, he doesn’t look hungry enough and he simply doesn’t look like the Pogba who just helped France pick up a very impressive World Cup win.

So Mourinho has two options, keep playing the Frenchman and hopes he plays himself into form or drop Pogba and take all the criticism from the media.
