Barcelona are set to hijack liverpool winter target for a fee of about €45m

Liverpool are on the verge of losing their winter target to Barcelona, after the LaLiga champions club open talks over the possible transfer deal of Lucas Paqueta from Flamengo.

Lucas Paqueta have been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, as Jurgen Kloop see the player as a big replacement for Phillipe Coutinho who departed the club last January.

The 21 year old will be a good replacement for Coutinho after Nabil fakir’s deal to the Meyerside Reds was stalled, Kloop was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, recent reports released by Spanish media outlet, Daily sport indicated that Barca are now in the driving seat to lure the star midfielder to camp nou, who earned a first call-up to Brazil’s national team last month.

Lucas release clause is reported to be around €45m, £40.5m and news have it that Barca are more than willing to pay the cash for paqueta who has proved to play for more bigger European clubs than flamengo.
The midfielder has scored seven goals in 36 games so far for his club, he his seen as a potential player for the future, though his move to Camp Nou would come as a blow to Jurgen Kloop.

Also, Barcelona are also said to be on the look out for Manchester United defender, Matteo Darmain
