Antonio Valencia sends warning to Man United about Wolves

Antonio Valencia believes Manchester United will need to “play with character” to beat Wolves at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils have won their last three games in all competitions to bounce back from a difficult start to their third season under Jose Mourinho.
Manchester United lost to Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur in consecutive Premier League games to lose ground on Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC and Manchester City.

However, Mourinho’s side have beaten Burnley and Watford in their last two top-flight outings to hoist themselves up to eighth place in the Premier League table.

Manchester United produced their best performance of the season in a 3-0 victory over Young Boys in the Champions League in Switzerland on Wednesday night.
Wolves are the only Premier League team to take points off defending champions Manchester City so far this term following a goalless draw last month.

Valencia, who missed the Champions League opener in Switzerland, is refusing to underestimate the promoted side.

“Yes, I’ve seen three or four Wolves games,” Valencia told Man United’s website.
“They’re playing really well. They get a lot of players forward, they are also very well drilled and it will be a tough game, but we’ll be at home with our fans and our people so we need to play with character like we’ve been doing recently.”

Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last term to secure their best finish since Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Red Devils will take on Valencia in their next Champions League clash.
