And while United chiefs have been negotiating with these two over new terms, Herrera has been left frustrated by the lack of progress on his contract.
It has led to a number of clubs taking an interest, with Barcelona the most high-profile of clubs said to be keen on signing the ex-Athletic Bilbao star.
But according to ESPN, Herrera has no interest in joining the Catalan club and would prefer to stay at Old Trafford.
He has struggled to get into the starting XI in recent weeks, though he has suffered from injury problems in his time.
But Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the midfielder and sees him as a valuable squad member.
"Ander is ready," Mourinho told MUTV.
"Marcos Rojo is the only player that is not available through injury and it's Marcus Rashford's last suspension match.
"After a draw you go straight to a penalty shootout, which obviously is a 50-50 situation.
"So it is a match of 90 minutes, which we have to try and win, and the choice of the players is based on that."
