Pedro Explain why life was hard at Chelsea under Antonio Conte

Life under Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge last season was less than better, admits Pedro.
Conte got the boot at Chelsea after the club’s damning showoff last season, slipping down to sixth, outside Champions League qualification to play in the Europa League this term.
The former Chelsea boss though capped a disappointing last season winning the FA Cup, he had already lost support in the dresser. Key figures in Chelsea’s squad had threatened to exit the club in July if Conte had stay.

Spain international Pedro is glad Conte is no longer driving the wheel as head coach. The 31-year-old, though, praised Conte’s defensive approach, he however complained it made them worked hard to get the ball away from their centre into the attacking third.
Sarri replaced Conte as Chelsea coach after plenty of controversy surrounding the former Italian manager’s contract at Stamford Bridge.

With Sarri nicking into the job as manager at Chelsea, the Blues style of play has changed tremendously and Pedro, particularly, is impressed, saying it gets them results.
As cited by Daily Mirror, the 31-year-old said: “The team is better than last season. This coach has a very good idea to press, to attack, to play, to have more players between the lines, to create chances, and to play with a lot of possession of the ball. This is very good.

“With Antonio, we were maybe more compact but we defended always in our own half.”

He added: “It is a very good change for the team. You can see it is better from the results we are getting”
