JOACHIM LOW failed in clear the air talks with Mesut Ozil amid reports Arsenal boss Unai Emery blocked a meeting.
The Germany boss jetted to the Gunners' London Colney training complex in an attempt to end the feud between the player and manager.
Ozil, 29, sensationally quit the national team following their disastrous World Cup campaign and accused the German FA of racism.
Low later dismissed any speculation that the playmaker could return to international duty and revealed Ozil has not returned his calls.
According to Bild, Emery enforced the midfielder's decision not to meet the national team manager - although these claims have been disputed with alternative reports that Ozil simply wasn't at the training ground.
Bierhoff told the German publication: "We would have liked to talk to Mesut, but we have to accept that he does not want to talk to us right now."
Instead Low had to make do with speaking with fellow Germany internationals Bernd Leno and Shkodran Mustafi.
Ozil won 92 caps for his country and helped them lift the World Cup in 2014.
