Chelsea fans think Frank Lampard RINSED Jose Mourinho after Derby humiliated Man Utd

CHELSEA fans reckon Frank Lampard made a dig at his former boss after Derby pulled off a historic win against Manchester United on penalties in the Carabao Cup.

Jose Mourinho was left blaming his own players after the 55-year-old was uninspired by his team's performance despite taking the lead just three minutes into the game. 

Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson scored an absolute screamer of a free-kick from 30-yards out on the hour mark and Sergio Romero was sent off eight minutes later to give the Championship side a glimmer of hope.

Jack Marriott thought he had scored the winner for them in the 85th minute, but Marouane Fellaini spoiled the party deep into extra-time, levelling the score 2-2.

But the Carabao Cup's new format means no extra-time and the Rams held their nerve from the penalty spot to win 8-7.

And following their impressive performance, Frank Lampard spoke to journalists to commend his players.
"It was special," the Chelsea legend revealed.

"A special performance, to come to Manchester United and not to just nick one, but I think to play the way we played, doing all the things we have been working towards in a short space of time.
"To do it on this stage against this team full of top players with our squad which has some younger boys in it as well, it was immense.

"What a night for the club to come here and do that."
