Chelsea loanee’s hopes shattered again by devastating injury

Charly Musonda’s bad 2018 may have just got a lot worse, with reports that he’s picked up a serious injury just weeks into his latest loan spell, this time at Vitesse Arnhem.

They say Charly picked up what appears to be a serious injury in a behind closed doors friendly this week, and he will be returning to Chelsea for treatment.

That’s a hammer blow to Musonda, whose development has been stalled time and again in the last three years. We already thought dropping down to Vitesse might be a bad move, now once again his career at the top level looks seriously in danger.

Of course a player with talent will always be able to come back, but Musonda’s body and mind are both under scrutiny now. How will he bounce back from this latest setback?
