However, this season hasn’t panned out that way for the 22-year-old. Where he was brilliant last term, he’s bombed this time around, putting in perhaps one of the worst ever Premier League performances against Cardiff City last month.
So, recent comments from Kenedy revealing he’d like to return to Chelsea and win a major trophy are somewhat surprising. Granted, a player of his obvious natural ability will be hard to keep for the Magpies, though speaking so boldly after a terrible season start seems a bit rushed.
