Liverpool defender emerged as a shock transfer target for Barcelona

Out of favour Liverpool defender emerged as a shock transfer target for Barcelona

According to reports today, Barcelona are pondering making a move for Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno.
In a report credited to Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish champions are willing to make additional depth behind Jordi Alba, and they have figured out Moreno and Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal as potential players to be heading to the Nou Camp.
After selling Lucas Digne to Everton in the summer, Barca are looking to make quality addition in the left-back position and Ernesto Valverde is considering a cut price deal for one between Monreal and Moreno.

After Andy Roberston emerged remarkably at Anfield, Moreno has fallen down the pecking over the past year under Klopp and he would surely be willing to return back to Spanish football especially with a club liker Barcelona.

The good news to Barca is that both players would be allowed to move by their respective clubs as both are not really the preferred choices in their club.
However, if any of them move to Barcelona, they would only offer solid back up option in that position as Jordi Alba remains the undisputed No1 in the left-back for Valverde.

Since joining Liverpool from Sevilla, Moreno has had many ups and downs in the Premier League, with his swashbuckling attacking style of play has been grilled by some defensive problems.
