The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern
are delighted with the business that their side has conducted already this month. The Red Devils have moved quickly to land a couple of major signings, and given that the World Cup is now upon us, that means that Jose Mourinho can rest easy knowing that his side have started well.

Still, there’s much more work to be done, and Man Utd must not consider going into next season without a few more signings.

Over the years, Man Utd have had a rich history of utilising homegrown talents, and particularly given the lack of that in the current team, it makes sense for the Red Devils to look into bringing in some more homegrown quality.

Fortunately, one player that fits the bill and would be needed at Old Trafford is Fulham ace Ryan Sessegnon.

Man Utd have a real need for a new left-back, and so Sessegnon – as one of Europe’s most exciting left-sided players – fits the bill perfectly. He’s more offensive than most, but there’s nobody better than Mourinho to make him more efficient as a defender.

There’s no doubting that the teenager would be able to offer a lot to this team. He’s lightning fast, and that sort of threat down the flanks would be unique at Old Trafford.

Furthermore, he’s also a brilliant dribbler, and so his effectiveness going forward is stellar – whilst he’s also proven his worth in front of goal lately too. Last season he picked up 15 goals and 6 assists.

He’s no slouch defensively, either. His pace makes it easy for him to recover on the rare occasion that he’s out of position, whilst he’s also comfortable tackling and tracking back. In truth, with a bit or extra training, he could be the perfect wing-back, and he could be right at home under Jose Mourinho.
