Charly Musonda returns to Chelsea after suffering shin injury and faces months out

CHARLY MUSONDA has returned to Chelsea and could be facing months on the sidelines after being injured playing for loan club Vitesse Arnhem.

The 21-year-old winger only moved to the Dutch outfit on deadline day last month but is now back at Stamford Bridge.
Belgian U21 star Musonda damaged his shin in a behind-closed-doors game with Royal Antwerp on Saturday.

He was forced off just before half time and will now be hoping Chelsea's medics do not discover the damage is long-term.
And Vitesse will also have their fingers crossed the ace is not ruled out for a lengthy period.
The Eredivisie side have already lost Dane Rasmus Thelander to a broken ankle this season.
Musonda will have been wanting to use his spell in Holland to catch the eye of Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.

He moved to West London in June 2012 from from Anderlecht but has only featured three times in the Premier League.

The attacker impressed on loan at Spanish club Real Betis two seasons ago.
Musonda agreed an 18-month loan deal with Celtic in January but the contract was terminated in May as he had not received sufficient playing time at Parkhead.
