Bayern Munich have given all-clear for Chelsea to wrap up £50 million Boateng deal

Bayern Munich have cleared the way for Chelsea to make a big money move and sign up world class defender Jerome Boateng.

The German spent a year at Manchester City in the 2010-11 season, but failed to make any sort of impact and was swiftly sold to Bayern, where he has spent the last seven seasons, picking up an average of two trophies every year during his time at the Allianz Arena.

But despite being an integral part of the squad, and becoming one of the best centre-half in world football, Bayern are willing to listen to offers for the Germany International, as they look to freshen up their squad.

Despite dominating the German League, Bayern have been a huge failure in the Champions League recently and are sick of seeing Real Madrid winning the competition.

And they have been given the all-clear for the Blues to get a deal done, after Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed the German could leave the club.
He was quoted on the Bild website: ‘If a club comes to us and he says that he wants to join that club, then we will negotiate.
‘But the offer has to be important’

It is no secret the Blues are looking for a world class defender to help sort out the back-line and have been keeping a close eye on the situation with Boateng for the last few months.
But if they think they are able to prise him away from Bayern on the cheap, they can think again as reports suggest the Germans will not even start negotiations unless their £50 million valuation is met.
