N’golo Kante to Paris Saint Germain: Agent advance talks for £70m transfer
Chelsea could bleed more next summer, not just over their inability to
find a replacement for Antonio Conte, but also for the fact that they
could lose an invaluable talent and first-class defensive spirit in
N’golo Kante.
According to the Daily Star, Paris Saint-Germain are planning to raid Stamford Bridge and one player they are determined to take with them this summer is the Blues’ defensive midfielder.
Talks are believed to have advanced between Kante representatives and the Ligue One outfit. A reported £70 million is in the bag for his transfer. Paris United claims the Sporting director of PSG is in talks with Kante’s agent and a move is in the offing for the player.
The France star has risen in ranks as one of the best defensive midfielders in the English Premier League after successfully guiding Chelsea and former club Leicester City to the Premier League trophy in consecutive seasons.
He became the first player to win the Premier League title with two different English clubs since Eric Cantona.
París Saint-Germain are in the market for a defensive midfielder after veteran Thiago Motta retired at the end of the season and Lassana Diara leaning closer to old age.
They reportedly have their sights also on Borussia Dortmund star Julian Weghl.
