Jose Mourinho succeeded in retaining first-team star’s signature after crunch talks

Jose Mourinho has held showdown talks with misfit Paul Pogba over his future and reached a truce.
The former Chelsea manager has fallen out with the France international, and there has been high speculation that his future lies away from Old Trafford.
Mino Raiola attempted to engineer a move away from England in the summer, and United’s record £89 million signing has his heart set on a transfer to Barcelona.
The Red Devils were unwilling to let him go this transfer window, but there were fears that the 25-year-old midfielder would push for an exit in January.

However, after sitting down with the head coach in clear the air talks, he has agreed to stay at the club until next summer at least, according to the Mirror.

The World Cup winner still has some unresolved issues with the Portuguese specialist, but the duo came to an agreement that he will spend the current season in Manchester.

Paul Pogba is content to stay with the Red Devils for another season, but he is expected to try and secure a transfer away next summer when the transfer window opens. He’s keen on a move to Nou Camp or a return to Italian champions Juventus and remains unsure if the strain will be lifted on his relationship with the manager.
