Man United started negotiations with €40m-rated La Liga defender

Man United interested sign Atletico Madrid left-back Lucas Hernandez next transfer window. Red Devils have serious problems in defence and a new high-class player is necessary. France international is the best option in this situation as he had an excellent season and paid big clubs attention. Real Madrid also interested to add him and there will be a real battle for the player.

Lucas spent his years of youth in Los Rojiblancos and became a top-class left-back. He was named in France squad for the World Cup and helped his team to win the Mundial second time in their history. Hernandez also won Europa League with Atletico and this is already a big success for the player. Last season French defender played 40 games and made 4 assists in all competition. This is an impressive result and he will improve his consequences in this campaign.
The 22-year-old is contracted with the club until 2024 and his release clause is nearly €40m. His price could increase and become much more during the season. Red Devils will do everything to add the player as Daley Blind left the club and Luke Shaw needs a back-up. Mourinho’s favourite target is Lucas who is one of the best left-backs in La Liga.
