Man Utd have to pay mammoth £175m in order to land superstar

Real Madrid have told the Premier League giants Manchester United and all other interested sides that Cristiano Ronaldo will not depart from the club for less than £175 million.

The 33-year-old superstar has long been connected with a return to Manchester United, while he could secure a profitable move to China if he wishes.

But, according to the Spanish nationwide daily sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid will not sell Cristiano this transfer market for anything less than £175 million.

The European giants ideally want to hang onto the attacker, who still has three years to run on his current deal.

Cristiano Ronaldo has previously been connected with Paris Saint-Germain in the past, but their interest has ended since they signed Neymar previous summer.

Ronaldo spent six years at the Red Devils between 2003 and 2009 after being purchased by Sir Alex Ferguson to replace former Manchester United and Real Madrid player David Beckham.

In 196 appearances for the Premier League giants, he netted 84 goals and won three Premier League trophies and the 2008 Champions League title while at Old Trafford.

This season, in all competitions, Cristiano Ronaldo has made 44 appearances, netted 44 goals and provided 8 assists.
