Coutinho replacement no longer necessary, claims Klopp

Jurgen Klopp has insisted Liverpool do not need to sign a direct replacement for Philippe Coutinho before the transfer deadline.
Coutinho joined Barcelona in January after scoring 54 goals in 201 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool in five years at the club.

The Merseysiders have already done plenty of business this summer, bringing in midfielders Naby Keita and Fabinho, goalkeeper Alisson and winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

A move for Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir – a potential replacement for Coutinho – fell through earlier in the window.

But Klopp claims there is no necessity for Liverpool to buy another Coutinho, primarily because he is impossible to replace.

“You cannot replace Phil Coutinho with exactly the same kind of player,” said Klopp, according to Sky Sports. “He’s Phil Coutinho. He has a specific style of play, tactically an outstanding player, can play as the winger, the ’10’, the ‘8’ – really great.

“I don’t want to put one of my players in the position where people will now say constantly ‘he’s the Phil replacement’.”

Coutinho scored 12 goals in 20 appearances for Liverpool in the first half of the 2017/18 campaign before leaving for Barcelona in January.

Despite the loss of the Brazilian’s influence, the Reds still managed to finish fourth in the Premier League and reach the Champions League final, which they lost to Real Madrid.

In the second half of the season, Coutinho scored 10 goals in 22 games for Barcelona as the Spanish giants sealed the La Liga title and won the Copa del Rey.

Klopp added: “I think the biggest thing we did in the second half of last season was that we didn’t need to speak too much about Phil. That wasn’t clear in January. How could we have known that?
“If we had still had Phil then we could have played with Phil in the final. Mo (Salah) goes out [injured], but Phil still there. Phil on the left wing, bring Sadio (Mane) to the other side, bring a midfielder on – it’s a different story. It would have been nice but he wasn’t here any more. We wish him well.

“We don’t need to replace Phil. We need to make a squad for the next year. Out there on the market, there isn’t a Phil Coutinho light. It’s not there. But there are a lot of good players and we have brought a few of them in.”

Liverpool transfer news: Real Madrid approached Mo Salah to replace Cristiano Ronaldo

LIVERPOOL have kept hold of Mo Salah this summer despite Real Madrid approaching the Egyptian to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reports today have claimed the Egypt international was wanted by Los Blancos to fill the void left by the Portuguese.

But Salah ended any hopes of Real Madrid securing his signature by putting pen to paper on a new contract at Liverpool.

Spanish outlet El Pais claim the 26-year-old’s representatives were contacted by the Champions League holders over a move.

But by signing a new contract at Anfield he made his decision very clear.
Salah was sensational for Liverpool last season, scoring 44 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions.
Real Madrid are desperate to replace Ronaldo following his £99m exit to Juventus.

The likes of Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Chelsea forward Eden Hazard have also been linked.
Blues star Hazard looks the most likely to make a switch to Real Madrid this summer though following his comments after the World Cup.

“After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different,” he said.
“Certainly after this World Cup.

“I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go.

“You know my preferred destination.”

Real Madrid have also been linked with Paris St-Germain duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Los Blancos continue their pre-season overnight when they take on Manchester United in the International Champions Cup from 1am.

Arsenal fans on Twitter want to see Ozil given the captaincy

Unai Emery has made some very bold calls in his short time as the Arsenal manager. He’s allowed Jack Wilshere to leave on a free and has signed five new players with an emphasis on defensive stability. However, a lot of fans are calling for another brave move as they want to see Mesut Ozil given the captain’s armband.

Arsenal fan account, Arsenal Fan TV tweeted out asking who the supporters want to see wearing the captain’s armband this season and the surprise shout from the fans was their German superstar, Mesut Ozil, The 29-year-old has suffered a torrid time this summer which has ended with claiming he won’t be playing for Germany in the current climate, although he hasn’t ruled out a return to international football in the future.

Last season saw Laurent Koscielny wearing the captain’s armband for the majority of the campaign but seeing as the defender will be missing most of the season with an injury the choice for captain is a tough one. Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey are honourable mentions for captaincy but given that Ramsey is yet to sign a new deal and Xhaka’s rashness on the pitch, Ozil looks like a good shout for the armband ahead of another long gruelling season.

You can read the Gunners’ verdict on their new captain here:

Just from the handful of tweets above it seems clear that the fans want to see Ozil as the leading figure at The Emirates this season.

Jose Mourinho announced ‘he is confident’ of sealing Man United transfer deal

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says he is confident he will sign one more player before the transfer window closes in a few weeks.

Despite all the speculation linking United with some of the games biggest clubs, Mourinho has only signed one top-class player in the shape of Fred, who joined the club for £52 million after rejecting Manchester City.

But the Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld, Willian and Robert Lewandowski over the last few days, with one of those players expected in during the next few weeks.
And Mourinho has confirmed he is confident he will sign a new player in the coming weeks, telling beIN Sports: “I am confident I will get one, but I think two I am not going to get – which is not a drama. In every pre-season it happens the same, with every club, which is that the manager wants more.

“It’s our nature, you always want more for your team, but then club decisions are different and normally you don’t get what you want, which happened during all my career.

“So, if I get one player until the end of the market, that’s fine.”

It is no secret the Red Devils needed to improve the squad during this transfer window to stand any chance of challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title, so fans will be very disappointed to see that the Special one hasn’t delved into his transfer kitty a bit more often.

£65 million warning! Puel speaks out on Man United transfer move for Maguire

Leicester manager Claude Puel is confident defender and Manchester United target Harry Maguire will remain at the club.

The towering Englishman has become a top transfer target for Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho, who is desperate to add a ball-playing centre half to his back-line.

Indeed, it is believed the Red Devils have already contacted Leicester about a possible £65 million deal for Maguire, who has also shown an interest in making that step up in football
But Puel is certain the 25-year-old will remain at the club, despite all the recent transfer speculation.
“I am confident about the presence of Harry for this season. He is a very good player for us,” Puel told Sky Sports News.

“I was not surprised about his performance during this World Cup. We saw his progress during the second half of the season.

“He was great and played very well. It was not a surprise to see him perform well at this level in the international game.

“Of course for us he is a very good player – I wait for him with impatience because we need Harry and we need also Jamie [Vardy] because they are Leicester.”

United are ready to offer Maguire a triple-his wages contract, according to reports, and also feel that Leicester would find it difficult to turn down such an offer of £65 million, despite their reluctance to lose the big man.

£15 million per year! Chelsea have offered Frenchman Kante whopping £290,000-a-week contract

Reports have claimed Chelsea have offered midfielder N’Golo Kante a whopping £290,000-a-week contract to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Regarded as one of the best central midfielders in world football, Kante has become an integral part of the Blues starting eleven, protecting the back-line but also adding to the attack with his passing ability and powerful runs.

However, there has been some speculation in the media as of late which have claimed PSG are ready to swoop in and offer him a way home to France, where he has previously stated he would like to go one day.
But the Times has claimed the Blues have offered Kante a massive £15 million a year contract to stay at the club, and make him the highest paid at Stamford Bridge.

The contract offer would double his current wage at the club, and also take him over the £220,000-a-week contract Eden Hazard is currently receiving.

Hazard has attracted interest from Real Madrid and has expressed a desire to join the Champions League holders, but Chelsea are willing to offer the Belgian similar terms to Kante.

they do not want to lose two of their best players this summer, especially with the transfer market closing in just ten days.

Emery announces delight! Arsenal have officially confirmed exciting midfielder has signed deal!

Gunners sensation Emile Smith Rowe has a signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal.

The talented eighteen year old has made a real impact on new boss Unai Emery this pre-season and has earned nothing but praise from the Spaniard and many media outlets.

He scored a sublime equaliser against Atletico Madrid and provided an assist for Alexandre Lacazette during a 5-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain.
And now the Gunners have confirmed he has signed his first big contract with the club, a deal which the lad is very excited about.

He told the Arsenal website: ‘To be honest it feels great for me. It’s something I’ve always dreamt of since I was young, so to sign a new contract with Arsenal… I’m just so happy and it feels surreal at the moment.

‘Knowing how Arsenal play and knowing the background of the club is something I really look up to. The new head coach really inspires me so hopefully I can get chances in the first team to prove how good I am.

‘For this season I’m hoping to play for the under-23s but my main target is to get minutes in the first team, progress, play well and impress the boss so I can maybe get chances in the Premier League one day.’ Emery added:

‘I am pleased with Emile’s contribution so far this pre-season. He is working very hard and has lots of potential.

‘I look forward to working with him and the other young players and helping them to develop as Arsenal players.’

It should be a very exciting season for Rowe as he is seemingly part if Emery’s squad, and now many fans will be hoping he steps up his level of performances in the coming months and fulfils the potential he clearly has.

Sarri gets his wish! Chelsea ‘are now in talks’ to seal £32 million transfer deal for Vecino

Fresh reports have now claimed Chelsea are in talks to sign Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino for a fee of £32 million.

Reports emerged on Monday which had claimed Blues boss Maurizio Sarri had asked the board to sign up Vecino before the transfer deadline finishes on August 9th.

The Italian boss is keen to add a bit more pace and excitement to the squad and has been an admirer of Vecino since they worked together back in 2014/15 at Empoli.
Sarri has already signed midfielder Jorginho from former club Napoli and goalkeeper Rob Green on a free transfer, but it look like Vecino could be the next name through the door.

The Sky Sports website have claimed Chelsea are now in talks with Milan about a possible £32 million deal for Vecino, with reports the Italian giants are ready to sell despite the fact the Uruguay international made 29-appearances last season.

They are looking to freshen up their squad for the upcoming season and would like to use the funds to land their top transfer targets.

Sarri is expected to do a number of late transfer deals as many fans expect a bunch of new faces to arrive at Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.

Goalkeeper announces excitement! Chelsea confirm summer transfer deal for Palmer

Chelsea have confirmed and announced Blackburn have signed youngster Kasey Palmer on a season-long loan.

Palmer played a role in Huddersfield’s promotion-winning campaign in 2016/17 and helped guide Derby to the play-off semi-finals while on loan in the second half of last season.

He was hoping to return back to Stamford Bridge and challenge for a spot in Maurizio Sarri’s first team squad, but his plan was scuppered by the Italians shock deal for Rob Green.
He has now become Rovers’ third summer signing and already brings a wealth of Championship experience to Ewood Park.

H told Blackburn’s official website: “I’m happy to be here and want to be a part of something exciting in the Championship next season.

“Moving forward I want to achieve something special here.

“I want to bring my past experiences from the last couple of seasons to the group, but we have a squad full of experience already and that can only help us.

“It’s a very good team and the dressing room will be full of confidence from promotion last season and hopefully I can add to that.

The latest deal for the youngster is just one of a number of loan deals the Blues have done this season, as they continue to fail the talents and give them a sot in the first team.

Confirmed! Arsenal make official transfer announcement transfer deal for Macey is signed and sealed!

Arsenal have confirmed and announced Mat Macey has joined Plymouth-Argyle on a season long-loan.

Macey, 23, began his career at Bristol Rovers but never played for the first team before being signed by the Gunners as a 19-year-old.

He made his Arsenal debut in October 2017 in the League Cup and also played in the Europa League either side of loan spells at Accrington and Luton.
And Argyle moved to sign the young man after on-loan Wolves keeper Harry Burgoyne broke an ankle in training at the club’s pre-season camp in the Netherlands.

The Gunners have David Ospina, Petr Cech and Bernd Leno already at the club and felt Macey needed a move away to get some regular game time, as he would find it difficult to get much action at the Emirates.

Arsenal announced on their official club website: “Matt, who joined us from Bristol Rovers five seasons ago, moves to the Pilgrims to gain more first-team experience, having already enjoyed loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Luton Town.

“We would like to wish Matt well this season.”

The move will give him an opportunity to impress again in the Championship as he may now need to leave the Gunners on a permanent basis to forge a successful career for himself, as it is likely he will never get the chance at the Emirates.

Napoli President reveals why he allowed Sarri to leave

What's the story?

Napoli president Aurelio di Laurentis has revealed why he sacked Sarri and allowed the Italian to leave this summer. Chelsea bound Sarri was replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

In case you don't know.......

Chelsea earlier this month confirmed Maurizio Sarri as the man to replace PL winning coach Conte. The Partenopei appointed Ancelotti as the club's boss without sacking Sarri.

The Heart of the matter.......

"I'm happy because Ancelloti promotes everything and everyone, " said Di Laurentis in an interview.
"Argument with Sarri? If you have players with 60 million clauses and you do not play them, you damage yourself and the team, you do not use the potential and end up being out of the cups because nobody wins two competitions with twelve - thirteen players. "
"I realised it was over with Sarri when he said to me: 'I don't know if I can do better with these players.' Sarri had entered the stage where the coach thinks high of himself. I have asked what he wanted to do this year until the last game, but I did not get an answer. "
"I noticed a certain ineducation in this silence, but I did not offend his genius and monothematic, I saw him play in one way. Lets see what he will do in England. "

What's next?

It was quite clear from last season that Sarri is about to join Chelsea as their boss. Even Chelsea players knew who's going to be their next boss. Altogether all the parties involved benefitted except Conte. Chelsea got the manager and a fresh air they needed and Naples got one of the best managers of this generation. Sarri will surely be tested in a new league and it will be interesting to see how he performs as England is not everyone's cup of tea.

£66 million Willian finally speaks out on possible transfer to Manchester United this summer!

Chelsea winger Willian has spoken out on speculation he could make a summer move to Manchester United or Barcelona.
The Brazilian midfielder has been in the transfer headlines all summer, with reports he is ready to pack his bags and leave the club in search of a fresh challenge, and Champions League football.

Indeed, recent reports even suggested United had an offer of £66 million accepted by the Blues as they resigned themselves to losing the gifted little ace.
But he has now discussed his future after keeping wuiet throughout the transfer window and admitted that he is happy living in London.

Speaking to Brazilian TV show Esporte Espetacular, he reveale: ‘I’m back to England.
‘I’m very happy at Chelsea. I’m very happy living in London.’

It was believed Willian and Antonio Conte did not get on last season, with the Italian boss limiting the Brazilians appearances for the club, despite the fact he was one of the most productive.

So the news that he is happy will come as a welcome relief, especially with speculation surrounding the likes of Thibaut Courtois, David Luiz, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante, who have all been linked with mega money moves away from the club.

Jose Mourinho blocks Man United from selling 24-year-old – report

Jose Mourinho tells Man United to keep hold of Victor Lindelof amid interest from Lyon, according to reports

Jose Mourinho has told Manchester United to keep hold of Victor Lindelof this summer amid interest from Lyon, according to reports in the French media.

French outlet L’Equipe, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Red Devils boss wants to keep hold of the Swedish defender, who only signed for Manchester United from Benfica last summer.

The defender only started 13 Premier League games for the Red Devils last season as he struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team in Mourinho’s second campaign at the club.

However, the same story says that Mourinho is against the idea of letting Lindelof leave the club this summer, despite Lyon apparently holding an interest in bringing him to Ligue 1.

Manchester United are looking to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season as they look to try and win the trophy for the first time since 2013.

The Red Devils finished in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last term in Mourinho’s second campaign in charge of the club.

Manchester United have signed Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant so far ahead of Mourinho’s third season at the helm at Old Trafford.

European giants ready to plot official offer for Arsenal £110,000-a-week star

Arsenal central midfielder Aaron Ramsey is the subject of strong interest from Chelsea, who are willing to make a £30 million move for the Welshman.
According to the British daily middle-market tabloid newspaper The Daily Mail, via The BBC, Chelsea are prepared to make their move on Aaron, who is facing an uncertain future at The Emirates Stadium.

The report states that Chelsea will offer a sum in the region of £30 million for the Welsh star. Ramsey has one year left on his current contract at Arsenal and is still in negotiations to extend his contract with the club.
Spanish manager Unai Emery is interested to keep Ramsey at Arsenal and sees midfielder as an important member of his team going forward.

The 27-year-old star netted 11 goals in all competitions for the north London club last season, including seven goals in 22 Premier League matches. He has made over 300 appearances for the Gunners since his move from Cardiff City back in 2008.

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea are eager to bolster their midfield variants and are keen on bringing Arsenal’s versatile midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

Belgian giants look to hijack summer deal for Liverpool star with late move

The Belgian club Standard Liege are reportedly in the hunt to sign Serbia international Lazar Markovic from Liverpool this transfer market.
The forward is likely to be moved on ahead of next campaign, with Jurgen Klopp keen to trim the team of its fringe players before the window slams shut in two weeks’ time.

The Greek side Olympiakos are interested in a summer deal for the ex-Benfica player, and according to states from the Daily Mail, Standard Liege would be interested in recruiting the wide player this summer.
Lazar has previous experience of playing in Jupiler Pro League as a result of his exploits with RSC Anderlecht. He spent last campaign on loan with the Belgian giants but failed to convince when called upon.

The Reds are interested in offloading Lazar Markovic and according to the latest reports, will seek a fee in the region of £5 million to £7 million for his services.

Olympiakos have reportedly agreed to personal terms with Lazar ahead of a proposed summer move, but it looks like Standard Liege could be weighing up a late move.

Chelsea have to spend huge fee in order to land European giants prospect

Chelsea will need to pay €70 million if they are to land the Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund attacker Christian Pulisic this transfer market, according to the German tabloid newspaper Bild.
Contract negotiations have been ongoing between Christian and his club for a while now but no resolution has been reached regarding of a contract extension with the Bundesliga club’s management.

Pulisic is an essential player for Lucien Favre’s club and is widely considered as one of the best young aces in the world right now.
However, it seems Die Borussen are faced with a dilemma, with Christian having only two years remaining on his current deal at the club.

The German outlet, in fact, reports that Borussia Dortmund would be willing to listen to offers from somewhere else for their prized asset.

However, it would take a massive sum of €70 million to convince Borussia Dortmund to think about selling Pulisic.

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea have been heavily connected with a move for Pulisic in the latest times but will be reluctant to cough up such a sum for the promising USA international.

Serie A £150,000-a-week star pours cold water on Chelsea hopes of landing him

A lot of attention circulating Juventus in regards to their central midfielder Miralem Pjanic being connected away from the club to Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester City, after the arrival of Portugues superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Amid reports that state Miralem will be sold to recoup the expenditure of teams finest transfer to date, the Bosnia-Herzegovina international slams back claiming his only concern is remaining a Bianconeri player.

“I listen to a lot of things that are not true,” Pjanic told ESPN FC at Adidas flagship store in New York.
“I’m cool. I’m preparing my new season. That’s what’s the most important. What I did the last two seasons for Juventus was really great, and I am happy what I’m doing here.”

Joining the Old Lady from the Serie A rivals AS Roma back in 2016 for a fee of €32 million (after Juventus triggered his release clause), he has proven to be an essential part of the infrastructure for Juventus’ midfield.

The last term, in all competitions (Champions League, Serie A, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa TIM), Miralem Pjanic made 44 appearances, netted seven goals and provided 14 assists.

Chelsea ready to let out-of-favour central midfielder leave Blues on loan

Southampton and Crystal Palace are both interested in landing England international Danny Drinkwater from Chelsea, according to a report from the British national daily tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror.
The report states that Chelsea are willing to let Danny depart from the club on a loan deal, having fallen out-of-favour at Stamford Bridge.

The Englishman appears to be headed for the exit door at the London-based outfit as a result of the arrival of former Napoli central midfielder Jorginho.
Maurizio Sarri is planning to make changes to the personnel at his disposal for the upcoming campaign at Chelsea, and it looks like as though Drinkwater will be dropped from the club’s senior-team plans.

Chelsea signed Danny for a fee believed to be in the region of £35m from the Premier League rivals Leicester City, but he has failed to replicate the form he displayed throughout his time at the King Power Stadium.

Southampton and Crystal Palace are both looking to bolster they squads to avoid relegation from the Premier League next term and see Drinkwater as someone who can help them do that.

Man United €10m-rated versatile defender set for summer departure

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has revealed that he wants to leave the Red Devils and there seems to be a host of Italian clubs that are keen on acquiring his services.
Napoli look like they are the closest to landing the 28-year-old, as the club’s owner, Aurelio di Laurentiis, recently confirmed that the club have made a loan offer for the all-around defender, which will then become a permanent switch next summer.

Darmian, who moved to the Red Devils from Torino in 2015, wants to leave the Premier League giants as he is not getting the playing time that he wants – last campaign, he made just 8 Premier League matches.
With Antonio Valencia and new defender Diego Dalot both seemingly ahead of Matteo in the pecking order, it makes sense that Italian is looking for another club.

However, Matteo might not be allowed to depart from the club this transfer window as Dalot and Valencia are both currently out injured, leaving Manchester United extremely short of right-backs ahead of their opening EPL game against Leicester on the 8th August.

Chelsea key man set to remain at Blues after UCL giants cool interest in him

The La Liga giants Real Madrid have ended their long-term pursuit of Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, according to the reports in the Spanish press.
The Spanish daily sports newspaper Diario AS report, via the London Evening Standard, that new Los Blancos boss Julen Lopetegui is prepared to give Isco a more prominent role in the squad and is unwilling to spend £200 million to secure a reported deal for Eden Hazard.

Spain international Marco Asensio’s rise in the Madrid ranks is also an essential factor in any move, with the highly rated Spaniard connected with a move elsewhere due to a lack of senior-team action for the UEFA Champions League holders.
The Belgian star Eden Hazard had been linked with a huge-money move to the Spanish giants, ending his six-year spell at the London-based giants.

After the World Cup, Chelsea prized asset said that he could stay at the Blues but that Real Madrid had a firm interest in him.

However, it now seems likely that Hazard will be at West London next season in spite of all of the rumours.

Liverpool prepare bumper new deal for£100k-a-wk star despite ace not seeking pay rise - report

Liverpool are ready to hand forward Sadio Mane a bumper new deal which will see his current £100,000-a-week wages improved, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper report that the Senegal international is not actively seeking a pay rise, but the club are keen to reward him for his progress since signing in 2016.

The Mail claim that the Reds have informed Mane’s agent that they would be swiftly offering him a new contract after he played such a key role in their run to the Champions League final last season.

OPINION

It has long been speculated that Mane would be handed a new long-term deal this summer, and that now looks likely to happen very soon. With the Senegal international still having three years left on his current contract, the likelihood is that he will now put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at Anfield for five further years. This is a sensible move from Liverpool as they look to secure the long-term futures of their favoured front three, who played such a key role in their brilliant campaign last time round. Mane at times was the unsung hero in that group, with Mo Salah obviously taking most of the plaudits while Roberto Firmino morphed into a complete striker up front for the Reds last season. It will be good to see the 26-year-old rewarded for his brilliant form with a new deal, and Liverpool will hope he continues his brilliant form into the new season as they look to mount a sustained challenge for the Premier League title.

Chelsea transfer 'in serious doubt': Bernard on verge of making AC Milan decision

BERNARD has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea but according to reports he is close to signing for AC Milan.
The Brazilian is available on a free after his contract with Shakhtar expired at the end of the season.
The winger spent five years in Ukraine, winning six trophies and has been linked to Arsenal in the past.

But a move to the Premier League has been heavily touted with Chelsea leading the charge ahead of the likes of Leicester and West Ham.

But the Blues have been hit with a major transfer setback after AC Milan entered the race for the 25-year-old.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Bernard's representatives met with AC Milan chief Leonardo to discuss a move.

The Serie A side are keen on the Brazil international because of his versatility and affordability.
Milan are in the process of trying to spurn another Blues transfer.

Gonzalo Higuain has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but he now looks set to join Juventus' Serie A rivals on loan with a view to buy.

Chelsea have had a tough time this transfer window having missed out on Aleksandr Golovin.
The Russia star snubbed a move to the Premier League, instead joining Monaco from CSKA Moscow.

Bid accepted: Arsenal agree bargain fee for transfer of star player

Colombian ace David Ospina has reportedly agreed on a loan move to Besiktas according to Sports Witness. Ospina moved down the pecking order after the arrival of German stopper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen this summer and has  been rumoured to be on his way out of the club.

Ospina is yet to resume training with Arsenal as many reports claim that a move has been finalized with Besiktas.

Besiktas were among several clubs in talks with the 29-year-old over a move away from the Emirates and they seem to have clinched the player on a season-long loan. Ospina had agreed to personal terms with the Turkish side, but Arsenal failed to reduce their valuation of the shot-stopper.

However, it looks like all has been finalized for a move. Turkish tabloid Takvim reported on Monday that Besiktas have agreed to pay £1.5million to take the player on loan.

Though the loan fee move looks ridiculous as Ospina has just one year left on his contract, this could be the case of the Turkish club not wanting to pay a huge fee for the player who would be out of contract in 12 months time.

Ospina signed from French club Nice in 2014 and has made 70 appearances for the Gunners during his time at the club.

Chelsea star N’Golo Kante set to overtake Eden Hazard as Blues top earner amid PSG rumours

CHELSEA have offered N’Golo Kante a new contract worth nearly £290,000-per-week.
The sum would see him overtake wantaway star Eden Hazard as the club’s best-paid player.

French champions Paris St-Germain appear intent on prising Kante away from Stamford Bridge.

The defensive midfielder impressed at the World Cup, where he helped France to lift the trophy.

According to The Times, Kante has been offered a five-year deal worth up to £15m a season.

The proposed pay rise would virtually double his current deal and move him above Hazard who is Chelsea’s top earner on £220,000-per-week.

Kante, 27, has not handed in a transfer request but the Blues are determined not to let him leave regardless.

The former Leicester man played in every France game at the World Cup and recovered the ball more often than any other member of the squad.

Former Arsenal star Robert Pires says he doesn't foresee Kante joining PSG simply because he doesn't think they need him.

“I don’t think PSG need to sign Boateng or Kante,” he told bwin.

“The PSG B Team recently beat PSG, and it’s important for (Thomas) Tuchel to see who can help the first team this season.

“I’m not worried about PSG. They are the best team in France, they have a lot of potential and some top-class players.

“The club will have all of their focus on trying to win the Champions League.”

Chelsea in talks to land £65m attacking sensation ahead of Liverpool

Chelsea are set for significant changes in the final weeks of the transfer window, as Maurizio Sarri looks to rejuvenate his squad and find replacements for the host of top names linked with an exit.

Champions League winners Real Madrid continue to be heavily linked with Eden Hazard and have now reportedly expressed an interest in Willian, which could leave the Blues short of options in the final third next term.

As a result, The Mirror states Chelsea are in talks to sign United States international Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund, with the Bundesliga side reportedly prepared to accept a sale if their price-tag of £65m is met.

Liverpool have long-term interest in Pulisic following his time working under Jurgen Klopp but are not in a position to make a move due to the fact they have a host of attackers at their disposal, including last season’s Premier League top-scorer Mohamed Salah.

Dortmund may be forced into a sale this summer in order to get full value for the 19-year-old as his current contract expires in 2020.

Liverpool Spanish youngster set to complete move to Rosenborg

The Anfield side Liverpool have accepted an official offer of £3.5 million from the Norwegian club Rosenborg for 21-year-old central midfielder Pedro Chirivella.
According to football news website Goal.com journalist Neil Jones, the creative midfielder is set to travel over to the Trondheim-based outfit to finalise the summer deal later this week.

The report also states that Liverpool’s hierarchy willing to insert a buy-back clause in the deal for Pedro Chirivella, in case they make the decision that they want him back at the club in the future.
Pedro Chirivella has managed one Premier League appearances throughout his time at the Premier League giants, having spent the last two campaigns out on loan in Holland.

The first club was second-tier outfit Go Ahead Eagles Deventer and second was first-tier club Willem II Tilburg.

The central midfielder has not made enough of an impression on German coach Jurgen Klopp to force himself into his senior-team plans, leading to this transfer away from the club on a permanent basis.

The last season, in all competitions (Eredivisie, TOTO KNVB beker), Pedro Chirivella made 35 appearances and provided four assists.

This summer has been tough on Tottenham fans

This summer has been tough on Tottenham fans. They’ve watched on as all of their top six rivals sign new players and splash the cash whilst all their club can muster is a club statement releasing transport information for local residents and businesses.

Tottenham fans have latched onto the above tweet and whilst some of them understand the funny side of things, others are just losing their minds as they continue with their transfer inactivity. Most Tottenham fans have been waking up thinking that today is the day they finally sign a player, although it never is and they’ve been doing this for weeks now, however, it’s good to know that local residents and businesses have transport information.

It really is farcical in North London. Just four and a half miles down the road as The Emirates Unai Emery has welcomed five new players to his squad. Nothing of the sort is going on at Tottenham, though, with the fans just days away from rioting about Daniel Levy’s lack of action and movement.

Most fans were led to believe that this window would be a huge one for them with loads of money being splashed and players coming in, but now there are just ten days left and most fans are losing hope.

You can read the Lillywhites’ verdict on their summer here:

It’s getting to the point where every club post will be frowned upon until the club can announce a new signing.

Everton line-up Man United defender if they can’t sign Yerry Mina

Everton’s search for a centre-half

It’s been clear for a while that Everton are looking to bolster their defence for the 2018-19 season.
Last season Everton conceded a whopping 58 goals in their 38 Premier League games.

Yet, while Everton have brought in Marco Silva and Marcel Brands to overhaul their backroom staff, the only player to move to Goodison Park so far has been Richarlison.

Barcelona & Manchester United

According to Paul Joyce in the Times on Tuesday, Everton have two centre-halves on their shopping list.

Everton favour a move for Barcelona and Colombia’s Yerry Mina. However should that deal prove elusive, Everton are ready to move for Man United’s Marcos Rojo instead. The Times report:

Everton have been negotiating with Barcelona for the Colombia defender Mina, too, with Rojo an alternative target. The Argentina international did not go on United’s tour to the US owing to an injury sustained at the World Cup, and will be allowed to leave by Jose Mourinho.

Sadly for Everton fans, no price tags for Mina or Rojo are mentioned by the Times.
The Times also steer clear of detailing the types of contract on offer from Everton. Are they loan deals or permanent offers?

Lucas Digne to Goodison Park

Everton are set to sign one Barcelona defender this summer as Lucas Digne seems set for Goodison Park. The Times note:

The French left back is expected to undergo a medical at Everton in the next 24 hours after a transfer fee in the region of £19 million was agreed with Barcelona.

Sign£76.5m-rated star and surely Mourinho will be happy with Man United this summer

Robert Lewandowski signing would change the feeling of Manchester United’s summer

Manchester United fans will be disappointed after watching the Red Devils lose 4-1 to Liverpool in pre-season.

The two sides looked a world apart, and a visibly frustrated Jose Mourinho let his feelings be known during his post-match press conference. He lamented the lack of players available due to the World Cup and blasted the youngster who were on show. The Portuguese also hinted that United board needed to add to the squad this summer.

The former Chelsea boss has spent over £70m to bring Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant to Old Trafford. However, he remains to keen to add to their attack with Anthony Martial linked with a move away. To catch Manchester City, United need to add another world-class attacker.

That man should be Bayern Munich superstar – Robert Lewandowski. Valued at £76.5m by Transfermarkt, the Pole is one of the best strikers on the planet and could be set to leave the club this summer. According to the manager, Niko Kovac, Lewandowski ‘toys with going elsewhere’ but Bayern does not want to lose their prized asset.

Real Madrid are long-term admirers of the Poland captain, but United must beat them to his signature. Lewandowski has finished as top scorer in the Bundesliga in two of the last three season – he netted an incredible 29 goals in 30 appearances last year as Bayern cruised to another league title. Alongside Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, Lewandowski would score goals for fun in the Premier League.

A truly world-class finisher, United would be unstoppable if they added the 29-year-old to their attack next season.

£90million double deal complete, Hazard stays: Chelsea’s perfect end to the transfer window

The arrival of Maurizio Sarri has given Chelsea supporters a fresh sense of optimism ahead of the new season after months of uncertainty regarding Antonio Conte’s future, but the new man still has plenty of work to do before the season gets underway if he wishes to take the Blues back into the top-four.

Sarri’s first task at Chelsea was to bring Jorginho to Stamford Bridge following months of intense speculation which made a move to Manchester City appear inevitable, and his first move into the market has certainly given the club a huge boost ahead of the new season. But following a season in which Chelsea significantly declined and Manchester City imperiously dominated at the summit of the Premier League, Sarri cannot afford to rest on his laurels in the transfer market.

With rumours circulating regarding a handful of Chelsea’s most indispensable players, he will need to convince the likes of Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante and Thibaut Courtois to stay at Stamford Bridge for at least one more season, whilst also pursuing the signatures of at least two key targets in the transfer market.

Sarri’s task certainly won’t be simple due to certain circumstances which are out of his hands, but if Abramovich is willing to back him with a handful of internal and external deals, he should be in a promising position to usher in a new era of success in West London.

With that in mind, here’s what Chelsea’s dream end to the transfer window could look like…

OFFICIAL: French World Class Target Is Officially Announced

Today, Monday the 30th of July, one of the main Premier League clubs targets has been officially announced by his new club where the French international player is considered as one of the best in his position.

The summer transfer windows is getting closer to an end where the Premier League clubs have their last chance to sign new players ahead of the beginning of the upcoming season, 2018/2019.

Official talks currently ongoing as Chelsea close in on completing yet another signing

The London Evening Standard reports that Chelsea have opened official talks in signing Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino over the weekend.

Maurizio Sarri, who replaced Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge this month, is keen to sign a centre-back, another midfielder and a striker before the August 9 deadline.

The midfielder made 29 appearances for Inter Milan this season on the way to booking his place in Uruguay’s World Cup squad.

Chelsea will have been interested onlookers as Vecino featured in all three of his country’s group games in Russia.

Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta has been linked with a return to his native Italy as part of a deal for Vecino.

It is claimed Sarri has asked Chelsea’s board to secure a deal for Vecino, who is valued at £31million, as he believes he can adopt to his style of play.

He is a player that Maurizio Sarri knows very well having worked together at Empoli.

The report claims that Sarri wants to bring in the Inter star to help influence his style of play on the rest of the first-team squad at a faster rate.

Sarri views Vecino as an upgrade on current midfield options Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater who have been tipped to leave the club this summer.

Breaking: Juventus Starlet Is All Set To Join Chelsea

English Premier League Giants Chelsea have reportedly made a £40 Million bid for Juventus starlet Mattia Caldara.

According to various Italian publications, Chelsea have reportedly tried to lure Juventus starlet Mattia Caladara away from the Allianz Stadium. It is said that the new £40 Million bid is an improvement of the £10 Million bid, Chelsea had made in the past for the defender. The Pensioners have been heavily linked with a move for Caladara’s teammate Daniele Rugani, but it is now said that the Blues have been left frustrated in their attempts for Caladara’s teammate.

Rugani’s agent, Davide Torchia, has confirmed Pensioner’s interest in the defender but has also revealed that the Serie A giants are reluctant to let Rugani go, while his £49 Million tag also remains a problem for Chelsea. According to Italian Publications Corriere Della Sport, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia held talks with Juventus’ Fabio Paratici in Nice after Pensioner’s first pre-season friendly on Saturday.
It is reported that after the meeting concluded, a £40 Million bid was submitted by Pensioner’s for Caldara, who is valued at around £45 Million by Serie A giants Juventus. If this happens to be the case then Juventus will have to call off their deal with AC Milan for Caladara. The Old Lady signed Caldara back in January last year, but part of his agreement saw him stay at Atlanta until this summer.

The Italian, who has scored 10 goals in his 55 Serie A appearances has joined the Old Lady this pre-season making his debut against Benfica on Saturday. With Giorgio Chiellini set to turn 34 this August and Andrea Barzagli already 37, it is clear that Juventus will be looking forward to create a new generation of defenders starting from Rugani and Caldara.

And even with Gary Cahill turning 33 this december, it comes as a little surprise that the Pensioners are targeting a young centre-back to join their roster alongside Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger. Let’s see how this transfer saga unfolds.

Juventus ready to take Paul Pogba back to Italy … for £200 million

Juventus are ready to pay as much as £200 million to take Paul Pogba back to Italy, according to reports.

The Frenchman left Juve in the summer of 2016 to join Manchester United for a then world record fee of £89 million, however has endured a difficult two seasons at Old Trafford.

Pogba has struggled to find consistent form for United and has suffered a difficult relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, with the pair publicly falling out on numerous occasions.

The Portuguese manager has continued to question Pogba’s role at Old Trafford in recent weeks following an impressive World Cup campaign with France for the midfielder – with Mourinho insinuating Pogba gives less than his best for United.

And with their relationship continuing to falter, it is reported Juventus are ready to capitalise by offering a world record fee to bring him back to his former club.

Liverpool 21-year-old star subject of interest from Championship

The Welsh manager Tony Pulis’s Middlesbrough side are said to be interested in the Premier League Liverpool forward Sheyi Ojo.
According to a report in the British daily broadsheet newspaper The Daily Telegraph, Middlesbrough are interested in signing the Reds youngster.

The English side have made an inquiry over bringing Sheyi to the Riverside Stadium, as their manager looks to sharpen up his attack.
Ojo spent the previous season on loan at newly promoted side Fulham, and could be made obtainable by Jurgen Klopp again.

The striker would offer Middlesbrough trickery and pace, which could be crucial if the club are to lose Spain U21 star Adama Traore this summer.

Ojo faces another campaign in reserve if he is to remain at Liverpool, so a temporary spell at Middlesbrough could be good for his development.

Pulis’s club are among the favourites to gain promotion from the EFL Championship this campaign, with Boro possessing one of the strongest teams in the division.

The last season, in all competitions (EFL Championship, FA Cup, EFL Cup), Sheyi Ojo made 24 appearances, netted 4 goals and provided 2 asstits.

Arsenal reportedly handed big boost in reported pursuit of 6ft 5in star

France international Steven Nzonzi has informed La Liga side Sevilla of his desire to depart from the club this summer following negotiations with Arsenal, according to the reports from the French media.
French journalist Rablat Cedric of Foot Mercato reports that both the Gunners and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are interested in landing the player.

The Gunners have held negotiations over a potential deal, but are planning to negotiate a cut-price fee. The star has a £35 million release (buy-out) clause, but the north London club are unwilling to pay that much for him.
Nzonzi is a player that Spanish manager Unai Emery knows well from his time with Los Hispalenses and has been keen to bring him to North London since he arrived at the club.

The Frenchman would certainly fill a void at the Gunners, with the Gunners lacking a solid defensive variant in the middle of the park for a while.

The Gunners have already bolstered in midfield so far this transfer market with the additions of former Serie A club Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira and one-time Ligue 1 side Lorient also midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

Representative of out-of-favour attacker provides update on Arsenal future

Arsenal winger Lucas Perez will not be making a move to the Serie A giants Lazio this transfer market, according to his agent.
The Serie A side have been heavily connected with a move for the experienced Spaniard, who north London club are reportedly interested in offloading before the start of the campaign.

Perez spent the duration of the previous season on loan back in his homeland of Spain, as Lucas returned to Deportivo La Coruna.
However, Lucas did not enjoy a huge deal of success in Spain, which has prompted talk that he could seek a new challenge away from the Gunners at Lazio, in Serie A.

These states have since been refuted by Lucas’ representatives, however, with the star’s agency Protio Sport shedding some light on the latest rumours.

Protio Sport told The Laziali: “It’s nothing believable, they invent things. Lucas wants to triumph at Arsenal, he signed there with that intention.”

“Lazio is a great team, but Arsenal are also. Lucas is in Singapore with his team preparing for a new season that we wish would be a great season. We have not talked to Lazio for months.”

European giants set to beat Chelsea in hunt for £150,000-a-week midfielder

Premier League giants Manchester City have moved ahead of rivals Chelsea and the Spanish side Barcelona in the race to land Miralem Pjanic from Juventus, according to reports from Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset.
Pjanic is being strongly touted with a summer exit from Bianconeri, and the Blues have been connected with a swoop for the Bosnian international in the latest times.

It’s thought that Maurizio Sarri is interested in adding several players from Italy to his Chelsea squad this transfer market, with Juventus pair Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain also emerging as top targets.
However, it looks like Chelsea will need to up their bids if they are to sign Miralem from Juventus this summer, with the Citizens allegedly now leading the chase.

The 28-year-old star has previously been stated to have identified Blaugrana as his dream destination, but Sport Mediaset indicate that Manchester City side are currently ready to cough up the more profitable financial proposal.

It’s stated in the report that Pep Guardiola has even been in direct contact with Pjanic already to discuss a possible switch.

Liverpool Ladies renamed as Liverpool FC Women

Liverpool Ladies have undergone a rebrand and will now be known as Liverpool FC Women.

Liverpool felt the time was right to press ahead with a name change with a new manager in the shape of Neil Redfearn, as well as a new league structure in place at the top end of the women's game.

Redfearn said: "We are entering a new era for women's football and this is an ideal time to review every aspect of our team, to ensure we are set up for future success.

"The renaming of my refreshed squad is just one aspect we're looking at and fits perfectly with the overall move towards a more modern and inclusive game."

Liverpool chief executive officer, Peter Moore, added: "I have witnessed women's football go from strength to strength over the last few years and I'm excited about this new stage in the game.

"We are in a prime position to be at the forefront of these changes, so it was an obvious choice to rename the squad before the new season starts."

This summer has also seen Chelsea and West Ham's female sides renamed, with the word 'Ladies' being dropped and 'Women' being used.

Arsenal in battle with European giants for Bundesliga 24-year-old attacker

The Premier League giants Arsenal are interested in landing Croatia international and Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt forward Ante Rebic this transfer market.
According to the British website Football London, Arsenal are one of a host of clubs looking to land the striker ahead of next season.

The Serie A side Napoli, the Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Arsenal’s league rivals Manchester United are also said to be keen on landing Rebic.
The winger impressed for his country at the World Cup in Russia earlier this month, drawing interest from some of the biggest sides in the world.

It is unclear whether Eintracht Frankfurt’s management will demand the huge fee for their key man or tie down Rebic to a new contract.

Croatia finished runners-up in Russia at the World Cup after they lost 4-2 to France in their first ever final.

The 24-year-old star has netted two goals in 22 appearances for his country, since making his debut for the national team back in 2013.
Ante Rebic is able to operate in any position across the frontline, lining up out wide for Croatia at times.
