La Liga side Valencia are set to make a £27 million offer for
Liverpool striker Divock Origi, according to a report from John Percy of
the British daily broadsheet newspaper The Telegraph.
Origi is set to depart from the Anfield this summer after being
informed that he is behind Roberto Firmino, Dominic Solanke, Daniel
Sturridge and Rhian Brewster in the pecking order.
Liverpool, who are ready to let up to ten players, including Loris
Karius, Simon Mignolet, Lazar Markovic and Danny Ings, leave this
summer, will likely happily accept the £27 million offer for the Belgian
star as Jurgen Klopp looks to trim his squad.
At one point in his Reds career, Origi was Jurgen’s first-choice
centre-forward but after his injury (horror tackle from then city rivals
Everton centre-back Ramiro Funes Mori in a Merseyside derby), he’s
never really been able to recapture his form.
Divock has struggled
in pre-campaign, and as such, it’s almost sure that he’ll be heading
out of Liverpool at some point this summer.
The last season, in all competitions, Divock Origi made 37 appearances, netted seven goals and provided three assists.
