The Blues went through a torrid season
last campaign under Conte a season after he guarded the Premier League
club to the Premier League title.
According to reports reaching us,
Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata could be on his way back to Italy, after
reportedly consenting to a move to the San Siro with AC Milan.
The €65m+rated striker joined Chelsea
last summer from Juventus as a replacement in team for then striker
Diego Costa but struggled to make an impact in the Premier League with
the Blues despite a promising start.
Following a disappointing year with
Chelsea – in which he netted 11 goals league goals – Morata was omitted
from Spain’s World Cup squad and he now looks to leave London.
As reported by Sky Sports Italy
journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, the striker has said yes to joining AC
Milan, but Chelsea’s valuations of around €65m-70m seems to be a
stumbling block for the striker.
The Blues coughed £58 million for his signing in 2017 and as per The Telegraph,
the Premier League club would be keen on making some good profit on
their investment as a fee is negotiated between the two clubs.
In order to compete on various fronts,
Chelsea will arguably need more firepower than that duo can provide, and
so it remains to be seen if they’re forced to replace Morata or not.
Higuain, 282 career goals
under his belt, would be a wise signing for the Blues to lead their
line next season who would serve as great competition for likes of
Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi next season.
