Jose Mourinho announced ‘he is confident’ of sealing Man United transfer deal

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says he is confident he will sign one more player before the transfer window closes in a few weeks.

Despite all the speculation linking United with some of the games biggest clubs, Mourinho has only signed one top-class player in the shape of Fred, who joined the club for £52 million after rejecting Manchester City.

But the Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld, Willian and Robert Lewandowski over the last few days, with one of those players expected in during the next few weeks.

And Mourinho has confirmed he is confident he will sign a new player in the coming weeks, telling beIN Sports: “I am confident I will get one, but I think two I am not going to get – which is not a drama. In every pre-season it happens the same, with every club, which is that the manager wants more.

“It’s our nature, you always want more for your team, but then club decisions are different and normally you don’t get what you want, which happened during all my career.

“So, if I get one player until the end of the market, that’s fine.”


It is no secret the Red Devils needed to improve the squad during this transfer window to stand any chance of challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title, so fans will be very disappointed to see that the Special one hasn’t delved into his transfer kitty a bit more often.
