European giants set to beat Chelsea in hunt for £150,000-a-week midfielder

Premier League giants Manchester City have moved ahead of rivals Chelsea and the Spanish side Barcelona in the race to land Miralem Pjanic from Juventus, according to reports from Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset.
Pjanic is being strongly touted with a summer exit from Bianconeri, and the Blues have been connected with a swoop for the Bosnian international in the latest times.

It’s thought that Maurizio Sarri is interested in adding several players from Italy to his Chelsea squad this transfer market, with Juventus pair Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain also emerging as top targets.
However, it looks like Chelsea will need to up their bids if they are to sign Miralem from Juventus this summer, with the Citizens allegedly now leading the chase.

The 28-year-old star has previously been stated to have identified Blaugrana as his dream destination, but Sport Mediaset indicate that Manchester City side are currently ready to cough up the more profitable financial proposal.

It’s stated in the report that Pep Guardiola has even been in direct contact with Pjanic already to discuss a possible switch.
