Ligue 1 side Lyon key man Nabil Fekir would be a huge signing for
Liverpool FC this transfer market, according to the club’s former player
Steve Nicol.
The Reds have been strongly linked with an effort to try and bring
the 25-year-old France international to Anfield this summer, but a
transfer has not yet materialised.
The Reds were thought to be on the verge of finalising a deal to land
Fekir back in June but the transfer fell through, and the star remains
as a Les Gones player.
However, in spite of this, the Reds continue to be connected with a
move to bring the Algerian-French star to Anfield before the transfer
window closes next month.
And Steve feels that Fekir would be a huge addition to the Liverpool FC team if the club’s management can get the deal done.
Speaking in an interview with ESPN FC, Nicol said: “I like Fekir. He is young. He can score goals. He is a talent. He is exciting. He fits in.”
Liverpool FC have been active in the transfer window this summer,
with the Reds having signed Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri, Fabinho and
Alisson Becker thus far.
